Tonight's homework is not from Eureka. It's actually from http://www.commoncoresheets.com/Rounding.php and is to support students in rounding. Students should work for 20 solid minutes on it and check their answers with the answers on the back. If students forgot or lost their copy please see below.

Tonight students should complete the Lesson 10 Sprint as well as the Lesson 7 Homework. We had difficulties with rounding so we are using Lesson 7 as extra practice.
Tomorrow students will complete the i-Ready Math test. This is a test to measure what their current math knowledge is and to see what they need most. Please help your child get a good night's sleep with a hearty breakfast in the A.M. and a fresh, early start to their day. The objective today was to be able to round numbers to the nearest thousand, ten thousand, or hundred thousand. Students should identify the place value the number is being rounded to first, then determine how many units are in that number (i.e. there are 54 ten thousands in 543, 678) to determine what the number would round down to and add one more unit to determine what the number would round up to. Then they should find the midpoint to then determine if the number rounded is higher or lower than the midpoint which determines if it rounds up or down. Remember to support students who are struggling by asking them if they can draw a picture (the vertical number line) or have them watch Duane Habecker's youtube video on Module 1 Lesson 8.
Tonight's homework is actually Lesson 8 Problem Set since we covered a few problems from Lesson 8 Homework in class as the lesson. Today's class was focused on revisiting Homework from Lesson 6 and beginning Lesson 7. Students seemed to feel fairly confident in Lesson 7's objective which is rounding to the nearest thousands using a vertical number line. Students had a harder time with 5 and 6 digit numbers as well as numbers that would require regrouping such as 39,600. On the right hand side you'll see a new button which I will update as needed for the stations. Students may choose to do this activity at home as well. Below is the activity they did in the independent station if you want to print it out and do it during your long weekend.
