Tonight's homework is to read chapter 3 of The Hope Chest and complete the summary notes and summary for it. Students will also complete a short response to the prompt:

Tonight's homework is to practice firsthand and secondhand accounts for their test tomorrow. This means students will read the two accounts of the Boston Marathon Bombings and compare the information, the focus and then synthesize both parts into a synthesis paragraph. We will also have a spelling test tomorrow.
Tonight's homework is to complete the Close Reading Form for the New York Times Article: "Miss Susan B Anthony Fined $100 and Costs for Illegal Voting". Everything was done in class except the last page (back and front).
Due to i-ready testing, there is no homework tonight. Students should be ready for guided reading groups tomorrow and have turned in all their homework this week.
Tonight's homework is to complete the summary for "Order in the Court" in preparation for our mid-unit assessment tomorrow after i-ready (if possible).
Tonight's homework is to complete the main ideas for "Order in the Court" and write the text-dependent questions for it as well (separate paper). Last, students should identify what type of text structure "Order in the Court" has. Tomorrow we will take our mid unit 1 assessment which will focus on text dependent questions, main ideas and summarizing using a new text.
We will have i-Ready in ELA on Thursday. NoRedInk work is to be completed by Friday, April 28th. Tonight's homework consists of four small assignments:
1. Write a summary for "The Vote" using the main idea statements from the worksheet titled, "Summarizing Informational Text Recording Form for "The Vote". 2. Reread "Order in the Court" to an adult and have them sign the top of the page. 3. Use context clues to complete the glossary for words that say "Student definition". 4. Use "Order in the Court" to write small blurbs about the dates provided in class today (June 17, 1873; November 5, 1872; 1865; 1868) and write those dates and blurbs in order on the "History of Voting in America Timeline" We will have a mid-unit assessment on Wednesday. Tonight's homework is to complete the timeline from "Voting in America Timeline" with dates and blurbs about the dates as well as writing the main ideas for the designated sections from "The Vote". This is all due tomorrow morning.
