Tonight's homework is to write the definition and the vocabulary strategy (i.e. context clues, word part, visuals/captions, examples of the word) and draw a quick sketch for the following words: inflates, ape, habitat, sluggish.
Since I anticipate this only taking a few minutes, the rest of the 20 minutes should be spent on i-Ready or typing.com

Students presented their poems and essays today in class and therefore have no formal homework but they could still do typing.com or i-ready or just read. Students only have 1 more week to read their books and take AR tests (at school only) to meet their October goals.
Tonight's homework is to practice reading their essays out loud. In class today, students revised their essays with color pencils focusing on linking words and academic words. They also received feedback on their essays from peers. Their essays will likely be pretty messy because of all the revisions. Parents are welcome to add to the feedback if the student requests it. Tomorrow, students will write their final copy which I will assess for a grade.
Tonight's homework is to finish the conclusion paragraph we worked on in class.
